Jessica Smith, LPC-MHSP, AS

Founder of Smith Behavioral Health and Wellness | Clinical Supervisor | Holistic Mental Health Advocate

Jessica LeAnn Smith is a licensed psychotherapist, approved clinical supervisor, and the visionary behind Smith Behavioral Health and Wellness, a group mental health practice based in Nashville, TN. With over a decade of experience in the field, Jessica is passionate about providing culturally responsive and holistic care that centers the mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being of BIPOC communities.

Specializing in treating depression, anxiety, grief, and trauma, Jessica integrates evidence-based practices such as Brainspotting and CBT with mindfulness and the eight dimensions of wellness. Her therapeutic approach is rooted in compassion, authenticity, and deep respect for each individual’s healing journey.

In addition to clinical work, Jessica is a dedicated mentor and consultant for emerging therapists through her platform, Jessica Smith: Clinical Supervision, Mentoring & Consulting. She is committed to preparing the next generation of clinicians and empowering mental health professionals to show up fully—both in and outside the therapy room.

Jessica is also the creator of Self Work with Jess, a wellness brand that encourages intentional living, emotional freedom, and joy. Whether through therapy, workshops, or community spaces, Jessica holds sacred the power of connection, storytelling, and self-discovery.


Kevilynn Gatson, LPC-MHSP, AS

Kevilynn Gatson, LPC-MHSP, AS, is the owner and Clinical Director of Reflections Counseling Group (RCG), a thriving educational group practice dedicated to the growth and development of emerging clinicians. She obtained her LPC-MHSP in 2014 and became a licensure supervisor in 2019, bringing over a decade of expertise in the mental health field.

Kevilynn founded RCG in 2016 as a part-time private practice and, at the onset of the pandemic, took a leap of faith to transition into full-time private practice to be more available to her children. Since then, RCG has grown into a comprehensive training hub, providing practicum and internship opportunities, as well as licensure supervision for candidates in Tennessee.

With extensive experience in clinical supervision, private practice development, and mental health service delivery, Kevilynn has worked in community mental health, school-based therapy, crisis intervention, and private practice, giving her a well-rounded perspective on professional growth. Recently, she expanded her credentials by obtaining licensure in Kentucky and North Carolina and is excited to extend her practice into these states.

Kevilynn’s passion for professional and personal development has made her a sought-after licensure supervisor, trainer, and speaker, equipping the next generation of mental health professionals with the tools they need to succeed.

Maria Bush, LPC-MHSP, AS

Maria has served in the mental health field for 19 years, providing trauma informed care in various roles including emergency psychiatric services, community mental health, domestic violence and sexual assault services, addiction and research. She is the former Assistant Director of the Office of Crisis Services and Suicide Prevention for the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services. She is the owner of Kindness Connects Us Therapy Services serving couples, adults, adolescents, and children. Specializes in mood disorders, trauma, and stress management.

Maria earned her undergraduate degree from Fisk University and graduate degree from Argosy University in Nashville, Tennessee. She received her LPC-MHSP in 2013 from the State of Tennessee, additionally licensed in the states of Florida, Arizona, and Missouri. She earned her Approved Supervisor designation from the State of Tennessee in 2019 and in Missouri in 2021. She enjoys supervising master level graduates and assist each supervisee in developing and embracing their counselor identity.

Along with her private practice, she is the author of “The Audacity to Heal: Self-Worth Recovery Journal” for adults. She is passionate about destigmatizing mental health and creating spaces for individuals to know their self-worth. With this passion she facilitates mental health and wellness programs for organizations and institutions of learning through her organization Worthy-ish, LLC.

Maria serves on the Board of Directors for Audrey’s House, a non-profit dedicated to serving survivors of domestic violence. She is the proud mother of two children.
